Prototypes & small-batch production using injection moulding

Your specialist in quality down to the very last detail

When time, quality and flexibility are crucial, Solidtec gets your plastic parts ready for series production in record time.

From the first prototype to small-batch production, you receive development, toolmaking and injection moulding all from a single source.

Rapid tooling for 100,000 injection-moulded parts and more

Using rapid tooling, we manufacture aluminium moulds in the shortest possible time and use them to produce prototypes and small batches using original materials. The result is injection-moulded parts whose quality is virtually indistinguishable from later production runs.

Everything from a single source

From mould design and mould-making right through to the finished plastic part, we organise the entire process chain in-house. This reduces the need for coordination, saves time and ensures maximum flexibility throughout your project.

Analysis & Consultancy

We will assess your component, select the most suitable injection moulding process and advise you on the best manufacturing approach.

Toolmaking

Aluminium tools are manufactured in-house within a very short time. This saves you time and reduces tooling costs compared with traditional steel tools.

Injection moulding

We manufacture prototypes and small batches to near-production quality using original materials.

Delivery

Fast and reliable, exactly when you need your parts – even at very short notice.

Rapid tooling refers to the rapid manufacture of injection moulding tools from aluminium. Compared with traditional steel tools, these tools can be produced much more quickly and used more cost-effectively.

Solidtec uses rapid tooling to produce prototypes and small batches from original materials to near-production quality. This reduces development times, tooling costs and the time taken to produce the finished plastic part.

The lead time depends on the component geometry, material and tool complexity. As we manufacture the aluminium tools in-house, the first injection-moulded parts can often be produced within a few days.

Right from the start of the project, you will receive a realistic estimate of the tooling and delivery times.

Using rapid tooling, Solidtec cost-effectively manufactures prototypes, pre-production runs and small production runs of up to 100,000 injection-moulded parts and more. Depending on the component, material and requirements, even higher quantities are possible.

Working closely with you, we assess as early as the development phase which manufacturing process offers the most cost-effective solution for your planned production volume.

Solidtec processes almost all common thermoplastics, including, for example, ABS, PP, PA, POM, PC, PEEK, PPS, TPU and PMMA. The economically viable production run size depends, amongst other things, on the material selected and its properties.

A complete overview of the thermoplastics we can process, as well as information on maximum output quantities, can be found on our Materials page.

In order to provide you with a detailed quotation, we require your contact details, 3D CAD data or technical drawings of the component, the desired material, the planned quantity and the required delivery date.

Ideally, you should provide us with 3D data in STEP, STL, IGES, VDA or CATIA format. Additional 2D drawings can be sent as PDFs or TIFs, for example.
