Prototype injection moulding inserts, repeat orders & collets

We have compiled all the information that will help both you and us to draw up a tailored, detailed quotation for your project or reorder.

Information required for an enquiry regarding tools and injection-moulded parts
Contact person, full address, telephone number and email address; alternative delivery address, if applicable.
In order to be able to carry out a quick and accurate tooling quotation, we absolutely require a 3D data set* of the required component. Furthermore, a drawing or a precise description of the part’s function is required for the tolerances. We will need precise details of this by the time the order is placed at the latest, and, where possible, mating parts for functional testing.
If only drawings or sketches are available, we will usually provide a guide price quotation. In special cases, we can also provide quotations based on existing sample parts. It is also possible to generate 3D data from drawings. Please contact us to discuss this.
* 3D data for the component should, where possible, be provided in one of the following formats: stp, stl, VDA, IGS; other formats available on request
We can manufacture parts from all thermoplastic materials.
If you haven’t yet decided on a specific material, we’d be happy to help you choose.
If the plastic to be used for your project has already been decided, we require the following information:
- Plastic type: e.g. PA6.6, POM, ABS, etc.
- Material additives: e.g. 30% glass fibre content, 15% glass beads, talc-reinforced, PTFE, etc.
- Colour: e.g. RAL colours, masterbatch no.
If you require a very specific material, please specify the exact trade name, e.g. Ultramid A3WG6, Hostacom, Bayblend T45, etc.
Due to significant fluctuations in material prices, we generally quote part costs excluding the cost of materials. Should you place an order, you are welcome to supply the materials yourself, or we can arrange for them to be procured and charge you our cost price plus a small administration fee.
What quantities do you require? Are only a few parts needed as prototypes, or might you require a pilot run or a small production run?
The more detailed your information is at this stage, the more precisely we can tailor the quotation to your requirements. For example, for small quantities, cost-effective moulds with manually inserted parts make sense; for larger quantities, automation or a multi-cavity mould design is worthwhile to achieve lower unit prices.
Depending on the material used, we guarantee production runs of between 1,000 and 50,000 parts . However, we are also capable of producing significantly larger quantities. This should, however, be known at the start of the project so that the mould can be designed to accommodate these quantities.
One of the most important pieces of information for your quote: by what date do you need how many parts? As a rule, we require 1–4 weeks for simple tools, and correspondingly longer for complex assemblies.
In urgent cases, however, we can usually meet almost any requested deadline. Please let us know your latest possible delivery date, if this has already been set, as very short lead times may incur additional costs. Should any additional costs arise, we will of course itemise these separately in the quotation.
To ensure that our dispatch documents and invoice are correctly allocated within your organisation, please provide an order number.
