From start-up to rapid tooling specialistOur success story

From the first beginnings to an established medium-sized service provider: Solidtec GmbH grows with system.

Autumn 1995

In Babenhausen in southern Hesse Torsten Kurenbach and Thomas Rößner lay the foundation stone for today's Solidtec GmbH. Initially active as a service provider in rapid prototyping, the company soon implements complete projects on its own initiative. Solidtec GmbH is also rapidly developing technically: After the first cast resin moulds with short service lives, the company specialises in rapid tooling moulds made of a high-strength aluminium alloy. Investments in high-speed milling machines and injection moulding machines follow. The continuous growth requires a new location with larger premises.

August 2001

The company moves to its current location in Dieburg. The two-man business of yesteryear is now a high-performance company with over 100 employees and a highly technical machine park comprising 40 HSC machining centres, 30 injection moulding machines and a fully equipped toolmaking shop.

May 2011

As a result of the good order situation and the steady growth, a plot of land with an office building and production/warehousing facilities was acquired in the northern industrial estate in Dieburg as part of the long-term planning. Reconstruction work and the start of construction of a new production building are underway.

March 2013

The move to the new premises has been completed. After administration, project management and toolmaking had already started work at the new location in December 2012, the injection moulding department also moved into the new premises at Lagerstraße 45 in mid-March 2013
